President vows 'decisive' response to any Israeli Attack

TEHRAN- Iran’s President speaking at a memorial event for Yahya Sinwar at the Hamas office in Tehran, issued a stern warning that any military aggression by the Zionist regime against Iranian soil would provoke a strong and comprehensive retaliation.

During the commemorative gathering for martyr Yahya al-Sinwar on Tuesday, Masoud Pezeshkian addressed reporters, stating that the society we inhabit is unfortunately dominated by powers that profess to champion human rights and international law, yet consistently violate the very principles they advocate.

Pezeshkian criticized these powers for supporting a government that has forcibly displaced individuals from their homes.

The Iranian president further remarked, “When these displaced individuals strive to reclaim their rights and land, European nations and the United States have equipped Israel with extensive military support, unabashedly defending the regime's actions, regardless of their humanitarian implications.”

Pezeshkian questioned the whereabouts of those who claim to advocate for the rights of women, children, and human rights, suggesting that their actions reveal a pursuit of force and intimidation, and asserted that those who value freedom and justice will not remain silent in the face of such demands.

Iran’s president emphasized that this conflict cannot be resolved merely through the elimination of individuals; rather, it can only conclude with the establishment of justice and respect for all humanity, rejecting the notion that it can be settled through force and oppression.

In response to inquiries regarding a possible attack by the Zionist regime on Iran, Pezeshkian underscored, “Any aggression would elicit a proportional response.”

Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, was martyred on October 17, 2024, during an Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip.
